MediGold COVID-19 SEP Update
This is an important announcement for all agents who offer MediGold Medicare Advantage products to their customers.
On March 13, 2020, a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) State of Emergency was declared by the President of the United States for all states due to Coronavirus (COVID-19). As a result, in accordance with, 42 CFR section 422.62(b)(4) and also the CMS Medicare Managed Care Manual (Enrollment and Disenrollment, Chapter 2, Section 30.4.4), all states and counties are granted a Special Election Period (SEP) through July 31, 2020.
Please keep in mind, this continues to be a fluid situation. If there are updates to this SEP, we will keep you informed.

Medigold 2020 Certification Launch & Code Information
Medigold’s 2020 Certification is now available, as of 7/15/19. MediGold’s certification can be accessed using the following code:

Once available, the 2020 certification will be available via Miramar and can be accessed through the following link: www.sentinelelite.com

A few more things to consider when certifying for 2020:
- If you have not certified for plan year 2019, completing the 2020 certification will make you ready to sell for 2019 also.
- Medigold will start paying brokers directly as of 1/1/2020 for all new business and renewals! Thus, when completing 2020 certification brokers will need to complete a W-9 and ACH information to collect for payment.

Medigold Launches 2020 Certs on 7/23 & Compensation Updates!
MediGold’s Certification will be released on Tuesday July 23 & will start paying agents direct for all 1/1/2020 business and after!
Brokers who are already appointed and certified will be prompted to complete a W-9 and a ACH form for Medigold to be compensated directly with Medigold for any 1/1/2020 business and thereafter!

Medigold Adds Ohio State to Growing Network!
MediGold has extended its network footprint with the addition of Ohio State’s 94 medical facilities.
- Effective 4/1/19, ALL Ohio State University hospitals and health care facilities are now within the MediGold network!
- 7 Hospitals — including The James Cancer Hospital — and 87 health care facilities now offered
- MediGold members will not require prior authorization to receive treatment at an OSU facility or with an OSU specialist, as those are now contracted.
- OSU specialists are expected to join the MediGold network in the coming weeks.
PLEASE NOTE: At this time, no immediate plans exist for OSU primary care providers to join the MediGold network.
