More Enhancements to MediGold’s Broker Portal

The broker team at MediGold is always striving to improve the reports and applications available to agents so that you have the tools necessary to manage your MediGold book of business.  MediGold has announced new enhancements to the book of business reports on the Medigold.com broker portal.

Agents that have accessed the MediGold  book of business reports in the past may know that this report only showed currently active members.  If a member had disenrolled, or their plan was cancelled prior to the effective date, their information did not show on the report.

The broker portal’s book of business report now shows all member status’ including those disenrolled and if their plan was cancelled.  Another column was also added to show the reason why the member has canceled MediGold and if they joined another plan, or if they are now deceased.

Also, you can now export your member records to an Excel spreadsheet. The information that can be exported includes the member name, member ID #, date of birth, gender, name of plan, date of enrollment and term date, as well as their mailing address.

MediGold’s 2021 Consumer Ratings

Once again,  MediGold’s HMO plans received a score of 90, which is the highest member satisfaction rating of 17 plans offered in Central, Southwest and Northwest Ohio!

MediGold’s HMO plans have received the highest rating over the past several years by consumers participating in the Medicare survey.  Now, more than ever, having a positive member experience should be a vitally important factor when you are helping seniors choose their Medicare coverage.

 

Background:  The 2021 Medicare and You Handbook, which is the official government Medicare handbook, prepared by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and is mailed, or emailed, to every Medicare beneficiary’s household  annually in September.  The handbook provides useful information related to the Medicare program including detailed information pertaining to Original Medicare, Medicare Supplement plans, Medicare Part D plans and the Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug (MAPD) plans.

Included in the personalized Handbook is a section that provides basic information about the costs for the Medicare Health plans available in Ohio.  Information provided includes: the plan service area, monthly premiums, annual out of pocket limits and certain co pays.  The section also includes the member’s plan rating.  According to the Handbook, the members’ ratings of the plans come from the most recent Consumers Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) survey. The rating is one of the many measures Medicare uses to give plans an overall rating of between 1 and 5 stars.  Of the 17 health plans offered in Central, Southwest, and Northwest Ohio.   MediGold’s HMO plans received a score of 90, which is the highest member satisfaction rating of all the plans.

 Note:  The personalized Handbook includes the Ohio ratings that begin on page 120.  The health plan information including the ratings is not included in the downloadable PDF version of the Handbook that is located on Medicare.gov.

Important: MediGold Scope of Appointment

MediGold’s Scope of Appointment

No longer required when submitting application

Effective immediately, MediGold no longer requires that a Scope of Appointment (SOA) form be summitted with enrollment forms.

In addition, the MediGold branded SOA form does not need to be used either.  Any carrier approved SOA, or a generic CMS approved SOA form may be used.  Agents must continue to follow CMS guidelines for completing the SOA form and CMS record retention guidelines must be followed.

MediGold 2021 Dental Riders

Adding MediGold 2021 dental riders on electronic enrollment platforms

Attention:  The electronic enrollment tool located on Medigold.com’s broker portal allows agents to add one of the dental riders when completing an electronic enrollment form.  However, the other electronic enrollment platforms that were developed thru Connecture do not currently give agents the capability  of adding the dental riders on the 2021 enrollment forms.  Medigold is working with Connecture to have this capability added and it is estimated that feature will be available around January 1st 2021.  In the meantime, if you enroll a member that would like to have this rider added to their enrollment, have the new member contact Medigold member services at 1 (800) 240-3851 and request to have the rider added.  The new member needs to contact Medigold member services no late than December 7th 2020 in order to add the dental rider.  Please call, or email me if you have any questions. MediGold’s 2021 Online Enrollment Information

MediGold has improved  their online/remote enrollment capabilities for 2021 AEP and the future!

They are excited to announce a partnership with Connecture. Using the Connecture platform, MediGold brokers will now able to fill out applications electronically and send them to their members and prospects for their signature via email or text! As long as the Medicare beneficiary has either an email account, or a smartphone, you will have the ability to enroll them remotely into a MediGold plan.

MediGold’s Network Addition for 2021!

Effective 1/1/2021, Premier Medical Group will join MediGold’s large network of doctors and hospitals in the Metropolitan Dayton, Ohio areas!

 

MediGold is proud to offer a large network of doctors and hospitals that now includes facilities and specialists.

MediGold COVID-19 SEP Update

This is an important announcement for all agents who offer MediGold Medicare Advantage products to their customers.

On March 13, 2020, a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) State of Emergency was declared by the President of the United States for all states due to Coronavirus (COVID-19). As a result, in accordance with, 42 CFR section 422.62(b)(4) and also the CMS Medicare Managed Care Manual (Enrollment and Disenrollment, Chapter 2, Section 30.4.4), all states and counties are granted a Special Election Period (SEP) through July 31, 2020.


Please keep in mind, this continues to be a fluid situation. If there are updates to this SEP, we will keep you informed.
